The Church
| “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Matthew 7:3 (NIV) |
Yes, I only desired to do GOD’S WILL now in my life now. The sad part is, even though GOD had forgiven all my sins and all this joy to share with people,
I found in the world, so many Pastor’s being judgmental, including some of my Christian friends about being an ex-prisoner and of my past. I am not here to offend anyone, just speaking the truth. The Church should be like a hospital where lost and broken people can run to without any judgment from the Pastor’s. GOD said “It is mine to avenge.” (Paraphrase) There were many nights I was left in tears from letters I would receive in the mail from the Pastors assistants. The one that hurt the most was when a Pastors assistant forgot to put me on hold and I heard the Pastor say “You tell her we do not welcome people like her to speak at our church.” I called my dear sister in CHRIST JESUS Pastor Dolores Patterson crying and sharing the responses I received. Dolores has always been a BLESSING in my life. She said “Cheryl, it is not right in how they treat you, but remember, their just people too.” Again, I remembered JESUS’ words “If you are being rejected, I was rejected first (Paraphrase). This was a period where GOD would refine another area in my life. After about a year of all the rejection, I realized I needed to start praying for the Pastors. JESUS said “If you cannot forgive, I cannot forgive you before my FATHER IN HEAVEN” (Paraphrase).
I also realized I had to become more like JESUS by praying for those who rejected me. GOD had me re-read the book of Revelation in the Bible. GOD showed me who HE addresses first in these last days, the seven churches. After I started praying, GOD opened up doors of many loving churches. Prayer and forgiveness changes things and it starts with us individually.
JESUS replied "Love THE LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all you mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV)
| You show that you are a letter from CHRIST, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living GOD, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2 Corinthians 3:3 (NIV) |
